  • After opening the site, put Reference ID in the input section
  • If you remember your 10-digit customer ID, you can check the bill using that ID. 
  • After entering your required IDs, either reference or customer ID, click on Show Bill Option.
  • After clicking on the show bill option, your bill will be opened in another tab.

Peshawar Electricity Bill Company is the backbone of Electricity distribution in KPK Province.

It came into existence in 1998 and it supplies electricity in 13 different districts of KPK. More than 4.4 million people of KPK  including the general public & commercial users are consumers of PESCO.

PESCO Circles:

The PESCO service area is divided into 7 regions known as PESCO  circles. This partition is necessary to address the consumer’s needs and manage power distribution networks & resources.


The PESCO circles cover about 1,204,621 Hectares area. The 7 circles are given below:

  • Peshawar Circle
  • Mardan Circle
  • Hazara Circle-2
  • Swat Circle
  • Kohat Circle
  • Bannu Circle
  • Dera Ismail Khan (DI Khan) Circle
  • HAZARA Circle-1

Each circle is responsible for electricity distribution in its specific area under the supervision of PESCO.

Bill Information:

PESCO Online Bill allows customers to view their bills. Users can check bill details such as bill amount,  12 months bill details, meter reading, bill issue date, bill due date, and bill amount after the due date. Users can also check bill history to segregate which bills are pending & which are paid.

Batch No:

The batch number shows the area code where the consumer lives. The first two digits like 15 are batch no.

Subdivision:

The 5-digit code represents the electricity area code and consumer sub-division area.

Reference No:

The last 7 digits represent the reference no of the PESCO consumer that can’t be changed.

 What is PESCO Bill Customer ID?

Find it difficult to remember the long 15-digit reference ID? Well, Pesco launched a new method to check bills online. Through a 10-digit ID, user can check their bill easily. The user can find the customer ID at the top right side, just below the reference number.

Receive PESCO Bill Through SMS and Email:

In the 21st century, companies send bills to customers through SMS or mail. This method not only reduces paper usage but is also efficient, reliable, cost-effective, and convenient to receive bills. This method also significantly minimizes the risk of losing bills.

To receive PESCO online bills through mail or SMS, Type ‘pitc<space>enter<14 digit reference number>’ and send it to 8334.

Safety Guidelines By PESCO:

Electricity is an essential need. Slight negligence while using electricity can lead to a big disaster. Here are some safety guidelines provided by PESCO to avoid accidents.

  • Report Fallen power lines:

If you see any fallen power lines in your area, report it to the nearest complaint center or call the PESCO helpline at 061-9220169.

  • Do not tie animals to power poles:

Please do not tie animals to power poles, especially in rainy weather.

  • Avoid using Cables for hanging clothes:

Do not hang clothes on cables.

  • Use quality wires:

Always use copper wires for wiring. Copper is highly conductive, and it has superior conductivity.

  • Avoid wet clothes or hands:

Do not touch wires barefoot or with wet hands. People may face swear shock due to water.

  • Three-pin plugin:

Always make sure to use a 3-pin plugin for all electrical appliances.

  • Fixed broken wires:

Always replace broken or exposed wires immediately to save from disaster.

EXTENSION OF DUE DATE FOR PAYMENT AND INSTALLMENTS OF ELECTRICITY BILLS:

Due to some reasons; the Consumer didn’t pay its electricity bill dues on time. To avoid paying late bills with extra charges; you can request PESCO officers for some extra time.

Taxes in PESCO Bill

There are two types of taxes that citizens of Pakistan have to pay when consuming electricity.

The government of Pakistan collects one text & another text is imposed by electricity distribution companies like PESCO.

Here are some types of Texas given below: 

FPA:

Electricity is produced by various means in Pakistan through wind, water, oil & solar. It is quite expensive to produce electricity from oil because it is imported from other countries in Pakistan. So distribution companies collect taxes from consumers in the form of FPA(Fuel Cost Alteration)

FC Surcharge:

Electricity distribution companies collect this tax from the consumer. It is implemented per unit with a 43 paise.

Deferred Amount:

The user can decide whether to pay their PESCO Online Bill now or at a later time. There are no additional charges or late fees for delayed payments. Additionally, the user has the flexibility to conveniently pay the amount with their next bill or opt for smaller installments.

GST:


The government of Pakistan imposes GST tax. The user must pay the government exchequer in terms of GST tax for 1.5% of the total cost of PESCO units.

E.D:

The government of Pakistan collects electricity duty tax, and users must pay 17% of the total cost of used PESCO units to the government of Pakistan.

T.V Fee:

The government also charges TV fees to its consumers to run the National TV channel, PTV. The total cost fee is 35.

New Connection or Transfer Procedure:

Sometimes; the user has to change the existing PESCO connection due to many reasons like in the case of selling or buying property. To transfer the connection; the user has to visit the nearest PESCO office and do basic paperwork for name change and correction. While this process requires an in-person visit, users can still manage their regular bill payments conveniently through PESCO Online Bill, ensuring a hassle-free experience for routine tasks.

Customer Complaint Management System (CCMS):

PESCO always prioritizes customer satisfaction. It introduced an online CCMS to its users to directly record their issues instantly. The online help desk is available 24/7. This system will also keep track of user issues whether they are resolved or not.

The procedure is as follows:

  • First, Visit the official site “pesco.gov.pk”.
  • On the left side; you can see a lot of tabs.
  • Click on customer service <click on register complaint.
  • There will be a complaint form open.
  • Fill out the form and describe your issue in detail.

How to fill Complaint form:

  • First; you have to put your bill’s 14-digit reference.
  • Then enter your 11-digit phone number without any dashes(-).
  • Then enter further details like CNIC, Connection date, Tariff date, Sanctioned load, and feeder CD.
  • After that; there is a drop-down list appears on the right side.
  • This is the complained detail section. You can put your issue details by filling in the options like the Nearest place, Complaint category, Complaint type, and complaint details.
  • You can also attach any related file or document by “choose file” option.
  • Now after completing the form click on “Register Complaint”.
  • Your complaint will be received by the PESCO support team.
